WHAT IS HEARTS FOR HOPE?
The Hope CommUnity Center is proud to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its signature event, Hearts for Hope. Over the past decade, this heartwarming event has offered a unique opportunity for community members, including young people, college students, and families, to share their personal stories and experiences. These testimonials, combined with meaningful conversations and more, have provided a powerful glimpse into the diverse lives of the community and the talented staff at Hope.
For 51 years, Hope has been a place of education and empowerment for Central Florida’s immigrant and economically disadvantaged populations. Founded by the “Apopka Nuns,” this service-learning community has been dedicated to enriching the lives of all who come through its doors. As the center celebrates this event’s 10th anniversary, Hearts for Hope remains a momentous occasion that brings people together to learn, support, and uplift one another.
As Hope looks towards the future, the 10th anniversary of Hearts for Hope is an opportunity to reflect on the past and embrace the future with intention and imagination. With a goal of growth and continued service, Hope is eager to continue finding new and better ways to make a difference in the lives of those in the community.
OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS:
In a world where opportunities are often unfair, we believe every student deserves a chance to pursue their dreams through education. Unfortunately, many scholarship funds throughout the United States and Florida overlook economically disadvantaged students and instead benefit students from wealthier families. This disparity leaves students from poorer neighborhoods feeling left behind and forgotten.
At Hope CommUnity Center, we refuse to let this be the case. We see the potential in every student, regardless of their background or financial situation. With your support, we can help bridge the gap and provide life-changing scholarships to deserving students from economically disadvantaged areas.

WHERE YOUR MONEY GOES
At Hope CommUnity Center, we believe in creating a brighter future for our community’s youth, families, and immigrants. With your generous support, we can continue to provide life-changing programs like College and Career Access, Youth and Family, and Academic Support. Your donations help sustain these programs, which give hope and opportunity to those who need it most.
But that’s not all. With your help, we can also award $50,000 in scholarships to talented and deserving young people, helping them pursue their dreams of higher education or technical training.
