Summary/Objective

The Grants Coordinator/Administrator is responsible for identifying grant opportunities, preparing grant applications, securing grants of all types, and assisting in the management of approved grants in specified functional and program areas. Work is performed under the supervision and direction of the Development Director.

Essential Functions and Tasks

• Write grant proposals, LOIs, MOUs and other grant related documents
• Manage overall grant workflow processes and procedures
• Maintain documentation and files that meet legal, grant, and other internal requirements
• Ensure alignment of processes and procedures with Hope’s mission, legal requirements, and industry best practices
• Partner with Finance for tracking payments, complete documentation, and forecast upcoming milestones
• Develop and enhance organizational practices and policies within the scope of responsibilities as needed; demonstrate continuous efforts to improve and streamline operations
• Conduct research on potential grant funding opportunities for HCC programming and advocacy work
• Research and vet grant funding opportunities and maintain active grant leads list
• Track grant awards against grant funding goals
• Work with relevant staff to develop LOIs, proposals, and budgets for grant applications
• Coordinate with staff responsible for executing grant deliverables and data collection for reports
• Participate in conversations around potential new programs and prospective funding sources
• Participate in grant problem solving discussions if problems arise
• Work with staff members who are carrying out grant-funded scopes of work to prepare quarterly, biannual, and annual grant progress reports
• Prepare for and participate in grant interviews and site visits
• Work with Development and Administrative staffs to create, implement, and maintain a system to monitor grant progress and outcomes of each grant
• Represent HCC at meetings, community, and funder events
• Develop partnerships with other organizations to advance HCC’s grant making opportunities
• Maintain Neon Grants database; ensure grant records and contacts are up to date

• Excellent computer and research skills, including Microsoft Office and Salesforce
