Day of Equity

Hope CommUnity Center is proud to join Marguerite Casey Foundation’s #DayOfEquity campaign to bring awareness about how we can “flip the narrative on inequality”. HCC works every day to empower Central Florida’s immigrant and working poor communities through education, advocacy, and spiritual growth. Included on this page are fifteen policy pages about inequalities that, if addressed, would help the United States flip the narrative on inequality, how inequality is discussed, and help us move forward to address the many issues that still exist today.

Pictured below are HCC’s Adelante Caminantes. They wrote down what a Day of Equity would look like to them. Many of the Caminantes indicated that flipping the narrative on inequality would include having the right to participate in this country and having a voice.
