I’m an Immigrant, I’m proud, and I’m hopeful!

Being an immigrant fills us with pride! We contribute to this country every day through our rich culture and diversity. The countless success stories of those who left their native countries and came to America seeking a brighter future for themselves and their families speak volumes about what immigrants can do.

Let’s not forget that our country’s foundation was built by immigrants from the old continent seeking the American Dream. Since then, people from all over the world have come seeking that dream of freedom and success.

But, leaving your home in search of a better life is not an easy decision. Every year, millions of men, women and children have to make the monumental decision to leave their current lives behind and make a change to escape dangerous situations or simply to provide a better future for their families.

It is a terrible situation, being forced to choose between home and a dangerous journey with no guaranteed happy ending. If you have been forced to make this difficult choice and found yourself in our neighborhood, we want you to know, you are not alone. Hope CommUnity Center is here for you.

For the past fifty years, our mission has been to educate and empower immigrants and others facing oppression. We advocate for rights while providing life-saving services to over 6,500 people each year.

Our immigration programs provide a wide range of services that help immigrants of all ages and life situations. Our services include providing English classes, basic skills, and a hot meal for unaccompanied minors through our “Adelante Caminantes” program, citizenship preparation classes for lawful permanent residents of the U.S, and immigration legal services such as DACA renewals or Visa applications. Most importantly, we prepare immigrants to be aware of their inalienable rights in this country.
