Despite facing obstacles, Felipe’s strength, perseverance, and unwavering hope led him to become the voice of many immigrants who come to this country seeking a better life. His story proves that with determination and hope, we can overcome challenges and inspire others to do the same.

As we celebrate Felipe’s birthday, we also celebrate hope and opportunity for all young immigrants who come to this country. Behind Hearts for Hope is a voice that knows firsthand the struggles and challenges undocumented youth face after graduating high school. Hearts For Hope is not just an event but a fundraising initiative supporting HOPE Rising, a transformative program dedicated to empowering at-risk youth. It focuses on enabling high school graduation and access to post-secondary education. 

The HOPE Scholarship enables young people to receive the help and support they need. Hearts For HOPE is an opportunity to listen to the diverse stories of young scholarship recipients while networking and enjoying a nice lunch with the HOPE community.

Over the past 14 years, this initiative has awarded 382 scholarships totaling more than half a million dollars to fund the dreams and aspirations of promising young people seeking access to education.
