Would you like to serve from January 2017 – July 2018 helping children and adults adapt, learn English, and feel more comfortable in their new home?

Central Florida is seeing an influx of citizens from Puerto Rico following the devastation of Hurricane Maria. As a result, the program is known as Notre Dame AmeriCorps – Apopka is seeking full-time bilingual (English/Spanish) members to serve in schools and other non-profit organizations.

Join us to bring together citizens of diverse backgrounds to serve communities in the areas of education, public safety, human needs, and the environment.

Requires 35-40 hours/week. Members receive a living allowance of about $900/month, health insurance, a childcare subsidy if qualified, and at the successful completion of the contract, they earn a $2,960 scholarship to pay off school loans or go back to school.
