Easter Egg Hunt Preparation.

Hope CommUnity Center will be holding an exciting Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 16th, from 10 am-12 pm, located at 800 S Hawthorne Ave Apopka FL, 32703, to celebrate Easter with the children and their families. With the day coming up fast, the Youth and Family Team has been working around the clock preparing for the big event.

The Youth and Family team has collected empty gallons of milk for two weeks to recycle and reuse as Easter baskets. With the help of Advisory, staff, and other donors from the community, the team managed to collect enough baskets to use on the day of the Easter Hunt.

On Sunday, April 3rd, the team had help from a group of volunteers who came out to decorate the empty gallons of milk. The volunteers were composed of the Sin Fronteras Youth Group and Advisory. The Youth Group showed up first to rinse, dry and cut out the gallons of milk. Then, with spray paint and buckets of water, they hydro dipped the first half of the baskets, each basket different from the previous one. Later, the moms from Advisory arrived to help hand paint and decorate the baskets with their kids. Altogether, the group spent the entire afternoon making sure the baskets were ready to go.

This year, the kids will be separated into age groups for the scavenger hunt, and there will be gift baskets for those who participate in the other activities planned for the day. We will be accepting donations for the Easter Egg Hunt until the day of the event.

The entire community is welcome to attend and enjoy many fun activities, food, games, and prizes. Be part of this celebration and support us by contributing to this great event. Donate here!
