Contigo Fund, an initiative of Our Fund Foundation, Announces grant awardees

March 30, 2018– Hope CommUnity Center is a second-time recipient of the Contigo Fund, an initiative of Our Fund Foundation. This fund was created to support LGBTQ+ and Latinx communities impacted by the 2016 Pulse Orlando tragedy. $42,000 was awarded to Hope’s Solidarity Project, which will fund their efforts to heal, educate and empower the LGBTQ and Latinx individual, immigrants and people of color.

Hope recognizes the great need to create safe havens where people can be fully who they are without fear of stigma, rejection and violence. Hope considers it crucial that people know their rights, feel empowered to act and to defend themselves, and believes that we must build allies willing to do the same for targeted groups such as LGBTQ+, QTPOC, immigrants and Black communities.

Hope CommUnity Center is dedicated to deep and meaningful conversation, healing, empowering, and harnessing energy to build collective power so that the rights, dignity, and humanity of all people is defended and protected.
